FERROMEX

It is the largest railroad company of Mexico, transporting cargo and providing large-scale regional tourist transportation services. Founded with mostly private Mexican capital (Grupo Mexico SA de CV) and American capital (Union Pacific Railroad) in February 1998, it has been offering since then the widest coverage area of the country, ranging from City Mexico to the cities of Guadalajara, Hermosillo, Monterrey and Chihuahua, major Pacific ports to the northern border and the Gulf of Mexico, which makes it the most extensive railroad network of the national territory with over 8.500 kilometers of track .

FERRO SUR

On June 29, 1998, the Ministry of Communications and Transportation awarded Ferrosur, SA de CV, the concession to operate and exploit the overall transit via rail in the southeast. The name of the company changed from Vías Concesionadas, SA de CV to Ferrosur, SA de CV.On

January 7, 2000, Ferrocarril del Sureste, SA de CV merged with Ferrosur, SA de CV, and it was agreed that Ferrosur, SA de CV shall be subrogated to all rights and obligations of Ferrocarril del Sureste, SA de CV.
